We are currently hiring for an Electrician Superintendent in Victoria, BCand the surrounding areas. Compensation for this role is between $48/hour and $49/hour, immediate health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching after one year. When you factor these together the total compensation is between $51.19/hour and $52.22/hour!
Responsibilities Required to attend project win and project start Pre-Construction Meetings and have full working knowledge of project construction schedules, IFC & I.D drawings, and review submittal packagesResponsible for working with Project Managers and Forepersons to create project specific work packages including approved submittals and wiring layoutsResponsible for updating work packages including ESI's and CD'sSupport the maintenance of the project schedule by:Coordinating required labor with the Project Manager, Site Foreperson & the HR ManagerProfessionalism in client/contractor relationsEnsuring advanced ordering of required B material, with the Site ForepersonProjecting and requesting release of lot material, with the Project ManagerSupport the Site Forepersons to create RFI's (sent to PM for review)Support the Site Forepersons to produce accurate MR's (sent to Purchaser & PM)Support & direct the Site Forepersons to ensure completion of required safety documents and training (through Safety Manager)Support the Site Foreperson on crew management by:Reviewing weekly entered time for accuracyPlanning and participating in employee evaluations with project forepersonsParticipating in worker disciplinary actions given (through HR Manager)Responsible for employee layoffs with PM's and HRResponsible for mentoring the Site Forepersons on an ongoing basisPunctual and reliable presence on worksitesFollow safety programs and policies, wear appropriate PPE, and attend safety training as requiredPresent a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clientsActing as a Foreperson on sites as requiredQualifications Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician Certificate requiredMust be legally able to work in CanadaFSR B or Masters ticket an asset5 years of experience leading successful electrical multi-family-residential and commercial construction projectsIntermediate demonstrable skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Strong creative problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.Strong leadership qualities and excellent organizational and customer service skills.Aerial Work Platform, Fall Protection, First Aid training, and LSE Training course an assetStrong supervisory and leadership skillsExperience in all other electrical fields are an assetExtensive knowledge of CECBasic hand tools, multi-meter, and cordless power toolsValid class 5 driver's licenseBasic computer skills including Microsoft OfficeWillingness to work out of town, on call, longer shifts, and/or evening/night shifts as requiredApply today by responding to this ad.
