Electrician – Mine Monitor Electrical George Fisher Mine – Fixed Plant Electrical Maintenance Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Reference No: 32637 Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician in the Maintenance department at George Fisher Mine.
This position is residentially based in Mount Isa.

The Role We are looking for a trade qualified Electrician with a strong involvement in electrical diagnostics, general maintenance, and repairs to join us in the Electrical Maintenance department at GFM.

Reporting to the Electrical Assets Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines, and possess exceptional communication skills.
Multiple rosters available for this role: 4/4/4/2, 7-7 Days only, and 7-7 Day/Night.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Electrical and instrument inspectionsPreventative maintenance and repairsFault finding and trouble-shooting electrical issues and breakdownsCarry out general Electrical Functions within the workshopHV and LV motors, variable speed drives, soft starters, PLC and conveyor systemsABB systemsTesting of fixed plant equipment before, during, and after repairs, maintenance, and rebuildsCarry out Inspections, servicing, and maintenance on fixed plant equipment as required by the businessParts replacement as required when servicing or repairing equipmentEnsure cleanliness of workshop environment and carry out general maintenanceHave the ability to attend off-site repairs and breakdowns as required by the business The successful candidate will possess: Trade Qualified ElectricianProven track record of electrical repairs and maintenanceMechanical aptitude and the ability to read parts diagrams and schematicsSome light fabrication skills required such as making brackets and mountingsUnderstanding of circuit diagrams and wiringInstallation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skillsHard working, reliable and able to work unsupervisedStrong focus on completing the job safely and compliantlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent trouble-shooting & problem-solving skillsFlexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detailGood time management skills and able to work well under pressureDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environment For further information, please contact:
