We are looking for the right candidate to take on the role of Electrician Leading Hand.
This is a Full-Time role, based in our Port Macquarie Shipyard on the beautiful Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW.
Position Overview This role ensures project electrical tasks are completed safely, to the agreed quality and technical standards, through the management of tradespersons and other team members engaged on projects at our shipyard based in Port Macquarie.
Key Responsibilities Safety and Environment planning and execution for the project workPlanning, co-ordination and execution of production electrical resourcesLeadership, work-place culture and role modelling of acceptable workplace behaviours consistent with Birdon's Code of Conduct and valuesMeeting Quality outcomesElectrical work on-board vessels and in workshops, supporting site operationsRead and interpret electrical drawings, as well as vessel drawings/schematicsActive participation in daily toolbox talksCommitment to project completion goalsQualifications, Experience and Skills Australian recognised Electrical Trade Certificate and Contractor LicenceRelevant Trade and supervision experienceOutstanding communication, leadership and people management skillsGood written and verbal skillsBasic computer skillsA nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card) and Drivers LicenceService-oriented team player with a "make it happen safely" attitudeMaritime industry experience desirableWe deliver value for our customers through our innovative people, organisational agility, and operational excellence.
