The Position
We are looking for trade qualified Electricians with a strong involvement in electrical diagnostics, general maintenance, and repairs to join us in the Underground Electrical department at George Fisher Mines.
The Role
Reporting to the Electrical Assets Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines, and possess exceptional communication skills.
Multiple rosters available for this role: 7-7 Days only and 7-7 Day/Night.
Responsibilities: Preventative maintenance and repairsElectrical inspectionsInstallations and upgrades to GFM LV and HV networksFault finding and troubleshooting electrical issues and breakdownsDrill Rig Maintenance and BreakdownsSupporting improvement projects that aim to reduce unplanned stoppagesMaintaining and improving OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplaceManage and maintain friendly and professional relationships with clients, staff & managementAttend breakdowns as required by the businessPlan work tasks to meet compliance with the Weekly and Daily PlansMake decisions and display leadership within own circle of controlInterpret and update technical drawingsRequirements: Trade Qualified ElectricianProven track record of electrical repairs and maintenanceMechanical aptitude and ability to read parts diagrams and schematicsLight fabrication skills such as making brackets and mountingsUnderstanding of circuit diagrams and wiringInstallation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skillsHardworking, reliable, and able to work unsupervisedStrong focus on completing the job safely and compliantlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skillsFlexible approach and adaptable to change with high attention to detailGood time management skills and able to work well under pressureDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environmentApplications will not be accepted via email.
