About the Position With our Operations Team needing to expand, an exciting and multifaceted role has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join the team and commence work immediately.
Based from our Traralgon Depot, you are responsible for the electrical based works for our Operations Team across our Traralgon facility. This role will focus on team culture, attention to detail, quality of works, ability to work with multiple trade disciplines, continuous improvement, and most importantly - safe work practices.
About You You are an Electrician with experience in commercial and industrial systems! You are hands-on, with the capability to go the extra mile to provide a quality product while being time efficient. You will lead by example and be able to engage and influence those around you. You are well organised, plan for success, and able to provide support within the entire Operations Team. You prioritise safety, quality, and team culture. You're passionate about what you do and look to always deliver great outcomes while identifying areas for continuous improvement. You are able to navigate electrical schematics and GAs and apply even levels of attention to both the practical and organisational aspects of your day-to-day tasks (housekeeping, stock management, following procedures and processes, etc.).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Relevant industry experience with a drive to learn our processes.Competence using power tools, hand tools, ladders, welding, soldering, and testing equipment.Proficiency in all aspects of electrical works with the ability to read, interpret, and improve on electrical schematics and drawings.Large mains cables (300mm+) termination, fit-off, and testing experience.Proficient knowledge in AS3000 and AS3008, with the ability to reference standards to solidify understanding.The ability to demonstrate strong safety, quality, and efficiency skills.High level of communication skills to internal and external customers.Conduit and cable tray installation experience.White Card Mandatory.Willingness to travel (intermittently).Apprentice mentoring, ability to produce a well-rounded and disciplined electrician.Strong skills acquired from on-the-job experience.Motor control experience.Component and electrical parts knowledge.Site supervisor, team leading experience.The remuneration package on offer will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience. The higher end of the posted rate would be for a supervisor with extensive experience and knowledge.
