The Electrical Tradesperson at Downer is responsible for maintaining the electrical infrastructure and equipment at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
This role includes conducting inspections, testing, and calibrations to ensure compliance with industry standards, all while prioritising safety and efficiency.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, manage workloads effectively, and build positive relationships with team members and customers.
Key responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment, including transformer inspections and load testing of emergency generators.Conduct RCD testing, insulation testing, and meter calibration to ensure compliance with industry standards.Prioritize and manage workloads to complete tasks efficiently within required deadlines.Ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace by adhering to health and safety standards and reporting any hazards.Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with team members and respond effectively to customer needs.About you Holds a valid 'A' Class Electrical Licence and relevant safety certifications.Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical trades with strong fault-finding skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering a positive team culture.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a proactive approach to identifying risks.About us
