What You'll Be Doing
City of Gold Coast Council is seeking Electricians to join the Building Maintenance team who is responsible for electrical maintenance of lighting, pumps, power reticulation, electrical control systems and emergency power generation in Council's assets.
Assets that require electrical/mechanical services include: include administration buildings, libraries, sports venues, aquatic centres, community centres, urban precincts, street and car park lighting, bus stops, parks, BBQ's, public amenities, shelters, water features, lakes and water bodies, navigational locks, and pump stations.
Key Deliverables include:
Undertake repairs and maintenance duties (hands-on)
Complete all works within allotted timeframes.
Ensure all electrical work undertaken is compliant with AS3000, Qld Electrical Safety Act & Regulations, Electrical Safety Act Codes of Practice and WH&S Act
Assist in the development and training of apprentices
Identify areas and actions within the planned maintenance scope that will improve the economic and operational life of plant and equipment.
