Join CSIRO as an Electrical Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex antenna and building power systems. You'll mentor apprentices, oversee routine maintenance, and handle high-voltage switchgear coordination. From fault diagnosis and system commissioning to managing external contractors and responding to incidents, your role will be impactful.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operation of power and HVAC systems, and support projects with high voltage switching.

Perform fault diagnosis of complex systems and installation/commissioning of complex systems. Supervise external routine maintenance contractors on site. Respond to faults, complaints, and incident reports. Liaise with internal and external customers and staff. Use established reporting tools and procedures to provide reports, as requested to the Facilities Team Leader. Salary: AU$86,737 - AU$113,979 plus 15.4% superannuation, plus $128.66 weekly site allowance and $50.54 weekly Electricians Licence Allowance

To be considered you will need: Education/Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualification. Other Certifications: ACT Drivers Licence, White card, working with asbestos certification, Working with Silica-dust certification. 3 years' experience working in an industrial type of maintenance or operations environment. Experience with Microsoft Office products. Desirable Criteria:
Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Experience with switching and coordination of high voltage switchgear. Ability to undertake Working at Heights and Confined Spaces Training. EWP and forklift Licence. Working knowledge of Maximo and/or SAP business management systems.
