As an Electrician in our Cairns operations team, you'll be responsible for the efficient installation of solar and battery power systems in Cairns & surrounding regions.
Responsibilities: Install, test and commission electrical apparatus, fixtures, switchboards and equipment for solar and battery power systems, air-conditioning systems, hot water systems, general electrical wiring.Support the training and development of Electrical Apprentices.Complete the regulatory paperwork required for installation.Documentation and storage of required site photographs, installation testing and commissioning checklist, on the day of installation.Maintain cleanliness and safe working order of work vehicles and trailers.Provide a high level of customer service.What you'll need to be successful: QLD Electrical Licence.Australian Driver's Licence.Working at Heights Licence.Experience in project management & installation of large commercial solar systems - 100kW +.Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures and guidelines.Have a can-do attitude and a proactive approach to problem solving.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Can work independently or as part of a team with the ability to lead, direct and delegate tasks.Active approach to close out jobs and improve their efficiency and quality.We're offering: $50 - $55/hr (pending experience)Overtime ratesA fast-growing companyTravel opportunities (opportunities to work away)Job securityCompany Toyota Hiace Van (New 2025)Application process: If you're a motivated and hard-working Electrician with a passion for Solar, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
