This role offers an outstanding work-life balance and the opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure.Key Benefits:Enjoy a 9-day fortnight with every second Friday as an RDO.Up to $124,000 per annum, consolidated disability allowance of $5,895 per year.6 weeks of annual leave.Remote Living Allowance of $1,000 per year.Earn extra $$ p/day when performing On Call Roster.Up to 10 weeks of rental assistance or relocation support available.Opportunity to gain experience across multiple power generation technologies including natural gas, diesel, and solar.Job Responsibilities:Perform maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.Manage plant emergency incidents and prepare technical reports.Collaborate with engineers and trades on commissioning tasks.Maintain gas/diesel engines, turbines, and power equipment.Keep accurate site records for maintenance purposes.Supervise contractors, manage permits, and ensure plant safety.Follow Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) protocols.Participate in an on-call roster and travel when needed.Uphold safety, environmental, and quality standards.Essential Criteria:A Grade Electrical/Fitter Mechanic qualification or equivalent experience in power generation.Expertise in fault-finding, complex electrical systems, and permit-to-work systems.Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.Experience with safety permit systems and independent operational tasks.Proficient in computer use.NT driver's license and ability to participate in an on-call roster.Adherence to safety, environmental, and corporate policies.HRW licence (CSE, forklift, WAH, EWP), senior first aid (or willingness to obtain).In addition, candidates with large scale heavy industry, power generation, hazardous electrical installation, inspection and maintenance certification are encouraged to apply.This is a live in position based in Alice Springs and NOT a FIFO role.To apply for this position please select the Apply Now button and forward your resume in MS Word format only.PLEASE NOTE - To be considered for this position applicants must be a Permanent Resident of Australia.
