About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Fixed Plant teams in our WA Iron Ore business.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor, your role will involve the safe application of preventative and investigative maintenance on our fixed plant and site infrastructure, including breakdown, shutdown support and modular type works within the electrical teams.
These roles will be working on an even time roster consisting of 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 off.
Your duties will include: Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade.
Maintaining a high-level working knowledge of safety processes.
Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of all plant and infrastructure equipment.
Having a sound understanding of maintenance management standards.
Working effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
Proficiency with computer-based planning systems, ideally 1 SAP & Fiori.
Ensuring that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed.
Ensuring adequate application of corrective work to facilitate the Planning Process.
Monitoring of asset integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements.
Strong commitment to the field management program and the coaching of field activities.
About You To be suitable for this role, you will have the following skills and experience: Australian recognized Electrical Licence.
Current Australian manual drivers licence.
Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment.
Experience working in Iron Ore Processing Plant is highly desirable.
Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes.
Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Dedicated to continuous improvements.
