Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.Roster: 8D/6 OFF - FIFO ex PerthWe are looking for an Advanced Electrician with expertise in electrical fault finding and experience working on Plasser track machines to join our dynamic team.As an Advanced Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on Plasser track machines.
You will ensure the electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely while supporting the maintenance team in minimizing downtime and maintaining high performance across various sites.Our OpportunityWork Location: Solomon Firetail OPFKey ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting on Plasser track machines and other related equipment.Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure electrical systems are in optimal condition.Repair and replace electrical components, including motors, switches, sensors, and control systems.Work with the engineering team to diagnose complex electrical issues and implement solutions.Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations.Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.Maintain accurate records of work completed, including detailed fault reports and maintenance logs.Provide guidance and training to junior electrical technicians as required.Stay updated with the latest technical developments and improvements in electrical systems related to track machinery.Qualifications and ExperienceProven experience as an electrician with a focus on electrical fault finding.Extensive hands-on experience working with Plasser track machines or similar rail machinery is highly preferred.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and control systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults.Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices in electrical maintenance.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.About UsBe part of something big.
