Elam Cabling Group has grown from a home-based business 30 years ago into one of New South Wales' most competent Electrical and Communications companies delivering projects covering electrical, data, fibre optic, voice, and security installations and subsequent support.We specialize in services to government, education, commercial, business, and corporate clients throughout NSW.The Role:Elam is seeking an Electrical Tradesperson/Leading Hand to commence employment in Sydney. You will undertake a variety of electrical and data works on small to large commercial projects. The majority of work will be based at the University of Sydney, and experience there will be an advantage.Responsibilities will include:Strong experience in commercial electrical and data projectsCoordinate and supervise a small team of electricians and apprentices on small to medium projects under the support of a Project ManagerEnsuring OHS complianceSourcing and ordering materialsProblem solving in both electrical and dataLiaising with clients, employees, and subcontractorsBe committed and self-motivated, with good communication and organisational skillsGood working knowledge of current electrical and data standards and regulationsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to apprenticesProvide accurate records and documentation for projectsIdentification and repair of electrical and data faultsTo be successful in your application for this role, you will require:Qualified NSW Electrician for a minimum of 2 years.Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with clients and site supervisors.Strong ability to read electrical plans and schematics.White card.Hold a current Australian driver's licence.EWP licence over 11m and working at heights will be a benefit.
