The Opportunity Come and discover the opportunity to join our Plate Mill team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as an Electrical Technician . As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers. You will join a cross-functional team that ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability. In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes, whilst ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues is a priority. What will you do? With your proven understanding of industrial electrical systems, in this role you will: follow the safe system of work and develop isolation instructions and job safety analysis for the required work provide assessment and follow up of equipment issues impacting plant performance perform equipment inspections as well as detailed planning and condition monitoring of equipment perform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairs fault-find on electrical equipment including PLC's, drives and instrumentation systems perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings More about you You are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment.
