In this role you will diagnose, repair, service and modify welding and industrial equipment … in-house and on-site.
What you will enjoy doing
You will implement good housekeeping in your own workspace and common areas & provide a safe environment for those working nearby
Testing and tagging to current electrical standards and customer requirements
You will assist with maintaining an efficient, well-run electrical workshop, focused on diagnosing, repairs, servicing and modification of welding and industrial equipment
In addition, work closely with other technicians to allocate job lists and prioritise work as and when required
Always abide by site rules and requirements … be aware of induction and site-specific requirements
Follow SPW procedures, particularly those relating to motor vehicle and mobile phone usage
Furthermore, follow SCIS procedures relating to stock management including but not limited to notifying the office of parts used, parts returned and kits that have been partly used, and any equipment or parts retrieved from a client to be properly returned to the workshop
You will maintain a valid and up-to-date electrical license and be aware of changes to Australian standards
Other duties as directed by senior management
Assist as required with the checking, amending, and invoicing of jobs
