We have an outstanding opportunity for an Electrical Workshop Team Leader to join our Railton team.Located in North West Tasmania, Cement Australia's Railton plant produces in excess of one million tonnes of cement per annum, the majority of which is transported to the Victorian and New South Wales markets.Operational since 1923, the plant produces cement using the fuel-efficient pre-calciner manufacturing process and has its own limestone mine facility and operation.Raw material for the Railton plant is sourced from Cement Australia's nearby mine. Cement manufactured from the plant is then transported 26kms to the Devonport shipping.About the role:This challenging and rewarding position will see you provide expertise and leadership in the areas of electrical, power, automation, maintenance and reliability whilst motivating and mentoring the electrical team.In this role

you will be responsible for:Actively supporting the site safety initiatives, standards and procedures. Ensuring SHE is the first consideration in maintenance activities, ensuring all activities meet, and where possible, exceed, all CA and legislative requirementsImproving plant reliability performance towards long term targets by ensuring a high quality of work is constantly performedProviding electrical support and resources for plant breakdownsIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and maximising value of maintenance spendLeading the Electrical trades personnel while also mentoring and fostering apprentice developmentManagement of day to day work responsibilities for site electrical workers, including the managing of the teams leave etc.About you:Commitment to safetyElectrical Trade QualifiedStrong experience in manufacturing or mining industriesStrong leadership and team building skills and experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of SAP maintenances, systems and processes is preferred.Advanced knowledge in high voltage systemsWhy work for Cement Australia?Strong safety focus and culture across the teamOpportunities for career growthWork with a team that will support your ideas and help you achieve themFree onsite parkingAbout us:An icon of the Australian cement industry, Cement Australia is the nation's leading supplier of cementitious products and services.
