About the role: Our Canberra Office is looking for an Electrical team lead to come in and head up our ACT team. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of key projects, both locally and on a national level. You will also be responsible for leading the team and providing management and mentorship for those reporting into you.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven engineering leadership and hold a CPEng qualification. Experience working on key healthcare projects is preferred and will be highly regarded.
Duties & Responsibilities: Representing ACOR with existing and new clients to help develop the business Attracting new clients to ACOR Increasing ACOR capability Managing a team including leading and mentoring staff Continuous staff training and development of the team Providing general project oversight and advice to staff working on projects Maintaining quality control procedures Consistently achieving reasonable monthly budget targets Monthly reporting to the executive team Preparing fee proposals and then tracking time and budget to invoicing and cash flow are appropriately managed Seeking and developing new business opportunities Assisting in the development of delivery strategies to develop and expand markets Skills and experience: University engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia Site induction training card (white card) Minimum 5-7 years previous experience within an engineering consultancy or equivalent Strong business development skills High level of project management and technical ability within the electrical discipline Highly developed engineering and assessment skills Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Benefits of ACOR: Attractive remuneration package, commensurate with experience.
