About the Opportunity The Electrical Team Lead is responsible for leading an electrical team of trades people and apprentices, ensuring, safety productivity and quality within the team.
The role involves coordinating and managing an electrical trade team to meet project schedules, liaising with the boat management teams, and other trade team leads.
Ensuring work tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities Monitor project progress and report on status, identifying potential risks or issues.
Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical trades and apprentices, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations and required quality standards.
Oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for projects.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and quality standards.
Plan and allocate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) to meet project deadlines.
Drive accountability with team to deliver project or department outcomes.
Comply with all WHS policies and procedures and ASC's Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Policy Comply with ASC Pride values Liaise with boat management team to provide direction to trade team to priorities work and to complete all Ensure trade personnel within the work team have a comprehensive understanding of company processes and are trained and competent in all assigned tasks Ensure that the team are up to date with all legal compliance training Allocate and book labour to appropriate work packs for time keeping purposes Coordinate, review and allocate overtime and shift patterns to adhere to the project schedules About you Engineering Electrical Trade - Cert 3 Unrestricted Electrical Workers License Working knowledge to a high level of competency in Electrical installation, testing and commissioning electrical equipment and systems Commitment to work within OWH&S regulations Minimum 5 years' experience in an Electrical trade Experience within a heavy engineering/shipbuilding/ship repair industry Good computer literacy to manage Technical & Administration tasks Proven ability to communicate with confidence within a fast-paced and frequently changing environment Proven experience leading and managing personnel to deliver outcomes Read and understand technical drawings and work instructions Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or modules progressing towards achieving such) (Desirable) Cert 4 Front Line Management (Desirable) Cert 4 Training and Assessment (Desirable) Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
