Eloise is an underground mine with conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate. AIC Mines has recently commenced an expansion of the Eloise operation following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho resource. The Company also owns a portfolio copper and gold exploration projects located across Australia.AIC Mines is listed on the ASX under the code A1M.About the position:We're looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. As an Electrical Supervisor, you'll be in charge of making sure our electrical systems and equipment run smoothly and safely. Your technical know-how, leadership skills, and commitment to safety will be crucial in this important role. The role follows a 2/2 FIFO roster from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns, with bus commuting options available for local candidates from Cloncurry and surrounding communities. Onsite accommodation and meals are provided at the Eloise Copper Mine.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise a team of electrical technicians and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.Coordinate and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company standards.Conduct regular inspections to identify electrical faults, potential hazards, and areas for improvement.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment to minimize downtime and maximise productivity.Monitor electrical consumption and optimise energy usage throughout the mine site and camp.Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute electrical projects and upgrades.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and electrical inventory.Participate in incident investigations and contribute to the development of corrective actions.Promote a culture of safety, including conducting safety meetings, providing safety training, and enforcing safety procedures.About You:Electrical trade certification (Cert 3) is essential. Dual trade in instrumentation or refrigeration (Cert 3 or 4) would be advantageous.Possession of a valid QLD Unrestricted Electrical Workers License.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician and supervisor in a mining or heavy industrial environment, preferably with a focus on underground infrastructure and fixed plant.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, and PLC systems.Demonstrated experience in fault finding, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems.Familiarity with relevant electrical regulations, codes, and safety protocols.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.Proficiency in process control and SCADA Systems.Current First Aid certification.HV switching experience (desirable).Confined space, working at heights, and EWP (Elevating Work Platform) tickets would be favourable.Proficiency in planned and unplanned maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including processing plant and power generation from diesel power stations.Knowledge and experience in planned and unplanned maintenance of underground infrastructure, including sub-stations, switchboards, dewatering systems, and ventilation systems.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Next Steps:Please apply by clicking the APPLY link below.
