We bring out the best in each other, inspiring performance and a shared belief that what we do matters.Who we're looking for:As an experienced Electrical Specialist, you will oversee the servicing, repair, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure at Ridgeway, including supervision of a small team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in maintaining the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our electrical equipment. You will have in-depth knowledge of electrical infrastructure, strong problem-solving prowess, project management skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning and execution.Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical infrastructure such as crushers, compressors, pumps, panels, sub-stations and other various electrical equipment.Meeting company maintenance and production objectives by ensuring all electrical installation and maintenance work is carried out to relevant Australian Standards and regulations.Scope, evaluate, plan, and implement key projects, providing inputs to support integrated plans.Provide supervision to a small team, which may include business partners at times.Collaborate with all stakeholders when required to undertake operational tasks.Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance teams to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards.Promote and maintain a culture of 'safe production' by compliance with company safety systems, policies, procedures and accountabilities. I.e. CCVs, JSEA, Prestart inspections, hazcards and audits.Ensure all incidents, near miss and hazards are reported to Shift Supervisor.About YouWe are looking for a safety focused individual who has:Demonstrate behaviour consistent with Newmont values and a proven record in promoting and managing safety in the workplace.Experience in underground mining in an operational environment, ideally in multiple mines, large scale underground projects.Supervisory and project management experience.Qualified with NSW Electrical Trade Certificate.Manual C Class Driver's License is required.Willingness to take ownership of issues associated with your role.Results orientated with a commitment to delivering planned outcomes consistent with safe production.If you are proactive self-starter wanting to work in a challenging and dynamic mining environment, we encourage you to apply.Please note: This is a residential role on a 5D/2X roster.Our Commitment to YouNewmont is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
