About the Role:
We are seeking qualified Electricians / Electrical Technicians to join the Renewable Power Generation industry sector, providing commissioning and in-field technical maintenance & service to OEM Power Stations, Inverters, and Control Systems installed at utility solar (and wind) farms and BESS (Battery Storage Assets) across Australia.
Full technical training will be provided.
Working on a Mon-Fri dayshift, or roster basis for those out-of-area (2:1), you will work on-site at Renewable Power generation and storage assets, specifically at the mega-scale 380MW Aldoga Solar Farm (20km NW of Gladstone).
You will work alongside technically trained and experienced technicians to bring renewable power generation and storage assets online and integrate & ensure continued service to the Australian electricity network.

This project involves a retrofit of upgraded electrical components at the massive 380MW under-construction Aldoga Solar Farm & BESS storage asset.
Expected to be 6-months onsite work for 2x Electrical Technicians and 1x Electrical Trades Assistant (TA).

There is strong potential for work on other projects, particularly for those who work safely to a high technical standard and are willing to travel.
As a Renewable Power Service Technician, you will:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during performance validation for each site including component replacement.Configure monitoring and communications on-site utilizing various computer interface programs including tracker commissioning.Perform equipment repairs and retrofits.Adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures on-site, according to company and site protocols.Skills & Experience
Will have electrical trade qualified experience and a strong safety awareness and attitude.
Your knowledge and skills should include most (if not all) of the following:
Current Electrical LicenceCurrent White CardCurrent Australian Drivers LicenceAbility to work remotely, and if out-of-area to work in a roster pattern.Experience with electrical equipment installations and ideally power.
Any existing knowledge of power conversion, inverter systems, and/or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) or VVVFs / Soft-Starters will be a significant advantage (not essential as these roles offer an opportunity to develop your technical capability in this field).Suitability fit & healthy and able to work outdoors in remote, sometimes extreme climates.Strong culture and awareness of safety systems and procedures.What we offer
