The Role:The Senior Project Engineer (SPE) is a crucial role responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of battery energy and storage projects. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and site operations. The SPE will work closely with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
12-15month Site-based role, Monday – Friday, 10hours per day (no remote work)

The Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk mitigation strategies in line with established estimates and budgets.
Oversee the coordination of project activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct regular project progress reviews and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that best practices and industry standards are followed.
Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications.
Identify and resolve technical issues, proposing innovative solutions to mitigate risks and optimize project outcomes.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in construction.
Site Management and Supervision:
Oversee and manage on-site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of blue-collar workers, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety on project sites.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams.
Coordinate and attend project meetings, presenting progress updates and addressing concerns or issues.
Manage client expectations and ensure their requirements are met or exceeded.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, logs, and records.
Ensure proper documentation of project milestones, changes, and lessons learned.
Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes and procedures.
The Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer or similar role
Business management, finance, or related degree (advantageous but not essential)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar (preferred)
Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations
Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (advantageous but not essential)
