Ideally this role requires a candidate who has is looking to progress their career from an electrical trades or engineering background into a technical sales role with a proven ability to maintain and secure new business and meet set sales targets through their finely tuned ability to identify opportunities, close sales deals and ultimately, deliver!Reporting to the Division Manager, your key responsibilities will include:Liaise and negotiate with new and existing clients in commercial, defence, industrial and manufacturing industries for the provision of minor electrical repairs, modifications and upgrades, as well as other electrical servicesQualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, and manage proposals to close salesIdentify maintenance agreement opportunities and provide leads to the sales teamSurvey electrical systems, interpret drawings, equipment and job conditionsQuote and estimate for the work identified through the preparation of timely, complete, clear and concise reports and proposalsEnsure customer needs are addressed in a timely mannerMaintain concise sales information capture to ensure timely and accurate internal sales and KPI reportingEssential skills / Experience required:Previous experience of electrical estimating and quoting within a commercial setting is essentialElectrical Trade or electrical engineer qualifiedPrevious technical sales experience in client facing roles gained within the electrical industry managing key B2B service account relationships is very advantageous, as is the ability to demonstrate your proven success in prospecting into new markets, generating leads and closing new business deals, and able to demonstrate experience of working with multiple customers and competing prioritiesWell-developed computer skillsAbility to manage your own time and workloads and able to work towards agreed KPI'sValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to clients (typically around metro Darwin) - this is not a purely office based positionTo apply for this position please select the Apply Now button and forward your resume in MS Word format only.For a confidential chat about the opportunity, please call Gillian Morrell on 0432 189 475 .PLEASE NOTE - To be considered for this position applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
