We are excited to be partnering with Australia's leader in port terminal operations in their search for an experienced Electrical Reliability Engineer.
This person will lead and oversee electrical asset reliability, safety, and maintenance improvement activities playing a critical role in ensuring the reliability, integrity, and cost-effectiveness of terminal equipment, while also driving continuous improvements and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for the preventative and reactive maintenance of all electrical assets, including SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and other critical control systems.
Ensure these systems operate efficiently, minimising downtime and proactively addressing potential faults through regular inspections, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance activities.
Perform Root Cause Analysis and lead structured investigations (e.g., 5 Whys) to identify and resolve electrical faults, minimising downtime and preventing recurring issues.
Continuously review and improve preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to extend equipment life, prevent failures, and reduce maintenance costs.
Provide hands-on support to the operations team in troubleshooting and improving the performance of electrical systems and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and safety protocols while conducting audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions in electrical systems.
Lead reliability improvement projects, ensuring timely execution, adherence to budget, and preparation of cost/benefit analyses for management decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering Further qualifications in industrial electronics or a related discipline desirable Experience in reliability and maintenance within industrial environment Hands-on expertise with electrical systems, including high voltage switching and automation & control systems.
Proven ability to lead fault diagnosis and implement preventative measures to ensure equipment reliability.
Experience managing projects, including budgeting and reporting on reliability improvements.
