Prospecta is in search of a seasoned electrical project manager/estimator to become an integral part of our electrical contracting division. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager/Estimator to lead and oversee our electrical projects. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician, who has worked on the tools, but more recently has been in a project management type role and tasked with estimating costs, orchestrating resource management, and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. You are organised and a standout administrator and able to use project management tools to assist you in your role.
Responsibilities: Estimating project costs and formulating budgets Organizing and overseeing project resources Ensuring adherence to safety regulations Monitoring project milestones and addressing any issues that arise Serving as the primary contact and updating all stakeholders on project progress Interpreting and following technical drawings, specifications, and scope of work documents to ascertain project requirements Determining labor, materials, and time requirements for proposed works Liaising and fostering strong professional relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure accurate and competitive pricing and information within specified timelines Ensuring tender submissions comply with all formats, timelines, and other client-specified requirements Preparing and submitting tenders, including the collation of supporting documentation Maintaining tender lists/registers, key dates, and scheduling the review process Providing support and guidance to managers and the team for the successful execution of projects, including tasks critical to the timeline Participating in client meetings and sustaining strong professional relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders Reviewing project documentation and specifications Estimating change orders for assigned projects when necessary Conducting post-project reviews to identify areas for future improvement Qualifications: Current Electrical Licence QLD Experience as an A Grade Electrician. Experience in electrical estimating Demonstrated experience in electrical project management and estimation Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and project management fundamentals Acquaintance with safety standards and quality regulations Intermediate or proficient in using Office 365 Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Strong organizational and project coordination abilities Intermediate or proficient in using Simpro(Project Management Software) Excellent communication, customer service skills and work ethic are essential.
