Lendlease is proud to be partnering with the Australian Defence Force to deliver $1bn+ of critical infrastructure upgrades and redevelopment at RAAF Base Tindal.
The package is part of the government's $8 billion in planned spending on NT Defence facilities under Developing Northern Australia initiatives.
The project will enhance air-to-air refuelling and air support capabilities, ensuring we can support critical ADF operations – everything from air combat missions through to responding to natural disasters both at home and throughout our region.
Role We have an electrical engineering position, on the airfield lighting.
You will be responsible for the managing the design, trades and AGL consultants.
You will be working closely with the Site Engineer and Senior Project Engineer in supporting this package of work.
You will also be responsible for: Issuing and monitoring compliance to Permits to Work for the defined high risk activities that require a permit Participate in the preparation of SWMS in consultation with the work group carrying the proposed activity Conduct regular checks of the site to ensure environmental controls.
Participate/carry out project quality risk assessments Develop or verify quality management plans Accountable for documentation flow between engineers, consultants, subcontractors and NCX ensuring that all parties are working from current documentation Requirements Electrical Engineering background Large scale project experience, particularly airfields Experience in a Services Project Engineer position or a keen interest in Services Extensive previous on-site construction delivery experience Clear and articulate communication skills coupled with an ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally as well as lead and mentor intermediate engineers Prior Defence project experience would be beneficial but not essential About Lendlease With a national delivery capability, combined with a sector-focused approach, Lendlease Construction provides innovative and industry-leading project management, design and construction services driven by detailed sector knowledge and experience.
