About the role
This is an Expression of Interest for an Electrical Project Engineer.
UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for design, construction support, testing and commissioning and handover of aspects of the electrical and combined services for the nominated project.
Provide inputs for the production of project program, Quality Plan, Project Document Management Plan (PDMP) and Design Management documentation.
Ensure that the design output conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
Lead or support procurement for the designated work area.
Assist with short and long-term planning for works - including submittals, start-up planning and programming.
Support the Area Manager in preparing accurate monthly reports.
Coordinate elements for the designated work area.
Develop and monitor KPI's and productivity analysis against program and budget.
Develop and monitor quality documentation completion against specifications and PSTR.
Work with site-based personnel including supervisory staff, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, clients, regulatory authorities, and industry bodies.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 7 years' experience in Electrical Engineering (practical and design), including solid exposure to commissioning of Low Voltage Systems.
Apply engineering principles to comply with project scope and technical requirements (PSTR).
Demonstrated experience in planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time.
Strong communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
Strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements and building services for residential buildings.
Proven experience (from concept to completion) as a design engineer with full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.
Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.
