With a track record of delivering successful landmark projects across South-East QLD, the company has secured a new large-scale construction project based in Toowoomba. As a result, we are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Director to join the business and lead the team on this project.
Primary Objective Reporting to the Construction Manager, this is an integral role within the company and will see you responsible for leading the project, design input, planning and management,ensuring all assigned tasks are executed in accordance with the company's implementation project methodology. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Project management from commencement to completion of project Maintain a clear and precise project budget & plan showing key deliverables and milestones. Ensure that projects are proactively managed, executed according to the project plan, schedule and budget resolving any issues promptly. Foster positive relationships with Tier 1 builders Bring your strong business acumen, confidence in managing project financials, ability to read/interpret contracts and manage & price project variations Effective management of resources including close monitoring of material and labour allowances Accurate preparation of monthly progress claims The role will be based from Yatala for the first 12 months and then will be based on site in Toowoomba until the end of 2027. We are seeking local talent from the region, someone interested in relocating Australia wide or something similar to drive in drive out based on a 5-day week with accommodation supplied will be available to Brisbane based candidates if preferred.
The Candidate This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Director who has previous experience working on design and construct Tier 1 projects as well as experience in managing a large team consisting of multiple Project Managers and Site Managers. The successful candidate must be fully competent in delivering the financials on large scale Tier 1 construction projects.
