Job Description Role Summary ELA is owner of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC) a space port south of Nhulunbuy where customers can conduct orbital, sub-orbital launch and testing campaigns for rockets.
You will:
Report to the Head of Engineering as part of ELA's Design Engineering Team.Collaborate with other discipline engineers on the Design Engineering Team to continue development of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC) and deliver system critical infrastructure.Continue the planning, design and implementation of ASC Electrical and Power Systems (EPS), including the primary power grid.Generate As-Designed/As-Built drawings of EPS.Work closely with construction crews and trades to supervise implementation of your designs in-situ at the ASC.Write reports and develop work instructions for installing new EPS and equipment.Oversee EPS testing.Approve use of newly installed EPS in the production environment.Troubleshoot any anomalous EPS activities and propose solutions to management.Engage in the Systems Engineering process in practice at ELA.Qualifications About You You should have: An Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering. Additional training and skills are always welcome.5+ years of experience in Power Systems Engineering design and maintenance.Understanding of Australian Electrical Engineering codes and safety standards.Hands-on experience with computer aided engineering tools. (MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, SolidWorks, etc.)Remote work experience as a bonus.You should be: Curious to find solutions where others may not think to look.Keen to share your knowledge and expertise and accept the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues.A good communicator able to write appropriately based on your audience.Eager to work in a start-up/scale-up business where you'll be required to take on duties outside your specific title.A good teammate.
