The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania's largest and oldest continuously operating underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré. It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond. MMG has an office in Burnie, giving employees the flexibility to work from there when they are not required onsite.
Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson Fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team at Rosebery in Tasmania. Reporting to the Mill Electrical Supervisor, this role is responsible to ensure maintenance tasks and activities are carried out in accordance with planned maintenance schedules and undertake production activities as required.
Key Accountabilities Adherence at all times to the MMG Code of Conduct. The code provides standards for appropriate ethical and professional behaviour. It is based on MMG's values of Safety, Integrity, Action and Results which form the basis of, and underpin all of MMG's business relationships.Ensure all reporting and recording requirements are met and communication channels are maintained and improved.Assist teams in developing a continuous improvement culture.Maintain all areas of the fixed plant including crushing, grinding, flotation and filtration; this includes servicing, fault finding, repair and commissioning.Identify root cause of failure and generate improvement strategies.Identify and evaluate non-conformances and provide support to develop corrective actions for continuous improvement to aspects of plant operations, safety, maintenance, equipment's utilisation and effectiveness.Assist with the implementation of management systems for processes, with the objective of minimising process variation and exceeding customer requirements.Support the Plant Outages – as required.Qualifications & Competencies To be successful, you will have an unwavering commitment to safe work practices, a team player with a strong motivation and passion to be part of our mining family at Rosebery.
To be successful in this position you ideally will bring the following:
