Randstad are currently undertaking recruitment for an Electrical Tradesperson based in Longford.
Major Functions of this job Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is a trades position within the plant maintenance team.
The position is hands on, requires extensive plant knowledge, provides equipment solutions using sound maintenance principles and requires the ability to work with and develop other maintenance crew team members: Follow safe working practices in accordance with the workplace health and safety act and workplace rules; Play an active role in the identification and elimination of hazards in the workplace; Exercises trade skills relevant to the specific requirements of the workplace; Carry out such duties and use such tools and equipment as are within the limits of your skill, competence and training; Liaise with team members and Maintenance Manager to establish and maintain work commitments and priorities; Communicate with maintenance team members, supervisors and production staff on breakdowns and outstanding work; Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor in regard to the purchase of parts and materials to satisfy your work requirements; Play an active role with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair; Have or develop a level of familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC logic allowing it to be used efficiently as a diagnostic tool; Develop a level of familiarity with key plant equipment allowing a wide range of tasks to be performed throughout the plant with limited supervision; Develop a level of familiarity with key plant equipment allowing a wide range of tasks to be performed throughout the plant with limited supervision; Skills and Attributes Advanced electrical trade or post-trade qualifications and experience; Experience in maintenance in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment; A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices; Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures; Experience gained from a large heavy industrial organisation; Some computer skills; Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills; Effective problem-solving capacity; Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations; Should you wish to discuss further, please contact Graeme at Randstad on 0429 537 409.
