Located 472 kilometres north-west of Adelaide, South Australia, Carrapateena is part of our Minerals Australia operations, within the Copper South Australia province.
The mine is located on the traditional land of the Kokatha people.
Carrapateena produces copper concentrate and is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade.
Please note this position is based at Carrapateena, offered on a FIFO (from Adelaide) basis and operating on an 8/6/8/6/8/6/7/7 roster pattern arrangement.

About the role We currently have roles available for Electricians with maintenance experience to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities within an operational mining and minerals processing environment.
Your work will contribute to optimal production, equipment performance and availability, as well as improving reliability and ensuring that we are well placed for future growth within our operations.

In this role you will: Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
Carry out unplanned and planned routine maintenance, inspections, and checks to a range of equipment, and/or electrical networks.
Assist in resolution of electrical issues affecting equipment performance and availability.
Review and update maintenance schedule plans and equipment history.
Provide electrical trade skills to perform care maintenance tasks within the area, to ensure overall reliability and stability.
Develop and revise operating and maintenance procedures.
Communicate plant status to appropriate departments.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in all work areas.
About you Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
Australian recognised Electrical Trade qualifications (essential).
South Australian A-class Electrical Workers license (or ability to obtain).
Experience working in a similar role with exposure to maintenance work.
Experience with mining/minerals processing environments (preferred).
Ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team.
Ability to confidently make decisions relating to your work, or escalate if needed.
Adaptable and responsive to change, as well as learning new information.
