A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a recently upgraded and expanded state of the art manufacturing site, supplying to the UK and International market.Job Description:The primary function of the Maintenance Engineering team is to support the Production Department throughout the provision of planned and daily maintenance.Providing technical advice on a range of bespoke machinery.The development of new equipment and processes, as well as the maintenance of Company properties, also form part of the overall departmental responsibilities.The engineering department currently operates a rotating shift pattern of early, late, and night shifts (Monday - Friday) with a rostered weekend call-out system (1 weekend in 4) - rarely called out.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).18th Edition qualification preferred but not essential.Previous experience working as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in PLC Control and Variable Speed Motor Controllers.The ability to use your own initiative to solve problems and to challenge the 'status quo'.A self-motivated attitude and a proven commitment to seeing a job through to its conclusion to maintain production.A flexible approach to your work, in terms of production and maintenance demands, as well as continuous improvement methods.Ability to work shifts and be available on a rota weekend basis (please ask for further shift details).Advantageous Skills / Experience:Experience with Siemens and Mitsubishi controllers.Project management skills.Machine building experience.CAD electrical drawing capabilities.Experience with PUWER risk assessments.Further details:Very competitive salary & call out charges.Pension scheme with a company match of 6% of pensionable salary.Life Assurance.26 days holiday + Bank Holidays.Onsite parking and above standard holidays.
