We have an exciting opportunity for a 6-month role as the Newman Analytical Hub Electrical Maintenance Coordinator, within the Newman Processing Services team, this opportunity is a residential or FIFO position based at Newman Operations working a 5/2 or 5/2 4/3 (flexible roster pending discussion with the line leader).
About the role We are looking for a trade qualified Electrician to work closely with the Quality Specialists, Supervisors, & NAH Lab Technicians in coordinating; maintenance, work management, vendor engagement as well as providing subject matter expertise to improvement projects at the Newman Analytical Hub (NAH).
Your duties will include: Ensure conformance with the BHP policies and procedures and relevant WHS and statutory obligations Responsible for ensuring the upkeep and compliance of the electrical logbook Coordinate maintenance activities Work order creation and approval for breakdowns and parts Engagement of OEM vendors for specialist works Review pre-read work management schedule Coordinate OCETs for off contract vendors Prioritise and plan work backlog Update maintenance strategies to deliver optimal sequencing and reduce waste About You As the successful candidate you will ideally possess the following: Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring all work practices are reflective of our Charter Values.
Hold a current Western Australian 'A' grade Electrical Licence S26 Electrical statutory appointment, experience or ability to obtain Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationships Safety focus with the ability to identify and implement safe work practices Knowledge of Laboratory equipment & Processes.
