About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrical Instrumentation and Control Technician is responsible for the ongoing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance works of GAWB's electrical, instrumentation, control, SCADA, and PLC systems, focusing on water quality and supply.
About YouIn this role, you will play a key part in the planned and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and water storage buildings and reservoirs.
You will perform repair, installation, calibration, commissioning work, and statutory safety checks on existing and new equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, and directions provided, as well as the requirements outlined by Quality Assurance Systems and Australian Standards.
Part of the role involves working autonomously to fault find and repair complex control systems, such as PLC and SCADA.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, and capable of prioritising individual workloads in conjunction with supervisors.
