You can learn more about Sandfire on our website.About the RoleThis position is site based on a 7 days on 7 days off roster and is responsible for all HVAC and electrical maintenance work on site and the village, as well as hold the statutory appointment of electrical supervisor for DeGrussa Copper Mine during Care and Maintenance and Closure activities.
This role supports the Closure Manager with execution of HSE compliance and mine closure activities.Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):Appointed Electrical Supervisor for DeGrussa operations under Division 5 - Schedule 26 positions - Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022Minimum 10 years post-trade maintenance experience in a mining, processing plant or camp environmentEnsure all electrical and HVAC maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and coordinated manner with compliance to site SWPs, OHS Standards, Australian Standards and the current Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.Assisting all trades as required (plumbing, mechanical)Ensure that all electrical and HVAC tradespeople on site work in a safe manner and comply with statutory and company guidelines and procedures.Minimise company risk exposure and liabilities by ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and Australian standards for all electrical installations and works on site.Other duties as per operational requirements.QualificationsUnrestricted Electricians License (Western Australia)High Voltage switching qualifications (Western Australia) and demonstrated competency with DeGrussa 11kV switch gearInstrumentation - Trade Certification or equivalent (desirable)Certificate III in Air Conditioning and RefrigerationRIIRIS402E - Carry out the risk management processBSBWHS411 - Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programsHV Switching ticketLF Forklift High Risk Licence (desirable)C Class manual drivers licenceCertificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)First Aid LV RescueAbout YouCapability to undertake incident investigationsKnowledge of HSEC Procedures and their implementation, with a commitment to working safelyDemonstrable capacity for Training and dissemination of skillsEssential Microsoft Office software competencyBenefitsAttractive, market-competitive remuneration package.Salary continuance insurance scheme.Corporate health insurance discount.Ongoing professional development opportunities.Being a part of a Values-driven, inclusive, and respectful organisation.
