As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will: Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence. Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant. As a Linesperson and/or Live Line Linesperson, you will: Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation. Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines. Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks. About you: You must be prepared to work away from home as regular travel throughout Western and Central Queensland is required. Appointment will be on a 9-day fortnight; however, you will be required to work alternative rosters and a reasonable amount of overtime as required. Critical to your success in the role, is your: Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network. Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations. Availability for call out and emergency work. Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work. Current 'C' class open Drives Licence.
