Mackay Regional Council is searching for an experienced & qualified Electrical Fitter/Mechanic to join the dynamic Water Network team on a permanent full-time basis.
About this opportunity:
This position is required to perform maintenance, repairs, and construction work on Water Network and Water Treatment assets. As the Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will assist in delivering a high standard of electrical maintenance and installation activities in line with agreed levels of service. The position is responsible for implementing effective maintenance and construction work practices and providing prompt and effective supply of services to Water Network and Water Treatment clients.
This position provides leadership and direction to ensure employees, including apprentices under supervision, and contractors are productive and appropriately skilled and/or qualified to operate in an operations and maintenance environment within the water industry.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Trade Qualification Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical Fitter Mechanic or equivalent.
QLD Electrical Work Licence – Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
General Construction Induction Training.
QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
Switchboard rescue & resuscitation certificate.
First Aid & CPR certificate.
