About the Role: UGL Bassendean is excited to offer permanent full-time positions at our heavy maintenance facility in Bassendean, Perth. Be part of an innovative team dedicated to the overhaul and maintenance of Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and Locomotive components, including wheel motors, alternators, traction motors, and more.
This role offers a Rotating Roster Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2.30 pm and Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 1.30 pm - 10.30 pm, Friday 1.30 pm - 7.30 pm with opportunities for overtime.
Your Responsibilities as an Electrical Fitter: Disassembling, inspecting, requalifying, and reassembling HME and Locomotive components.Measuring and inspecting critical journals and bores.Conducting brazing and insulation of cable and winding joints.Performing requalification inspections of bearings and pinions.Conducting acceptance no-load testing on components, including vibration analysis.Actively engaging in Lean practices to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.Participating in UGL's OneHSE culture, which prioritizes safety for all team members.About You: A relevant Electrical Fitter or Electrical Machine Repair trade qualification.Experience with AC & DC traction motors, alternators, or rotating electrical equipment.Experience with GE or EMD motors and related equipment is a plus.Strong attention to detail and measurement skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.An eagerness to learn and grow within the role.What we offer: Movement within UGL Bassendean department.Family friendly company.Competitive hourly rate according to Bassendean Enterprise Agreement.Diverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieve.A chance to join a 6,000+ strong organization owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractors.Why Choose UGL?
