Electrical Estimator/Projects Administrator

Ashco Energy is an electrical and communications company, servicing Canberra and surrounding NSW areas.
Due to the significant growth that Ashco Energy is experiencing, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator/Projects Administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities: Review project plans and collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical and communications projects, utilising advanced estimating software and conducting comprehensive cost analysis.Prepare and submit bids to clients, ensuring compliance with project specifications.Obtain quotes and evaluate subcontractor bids to align with project requirements.Maintain organised records of project estimates and prepare reports for senior management and clients.Stay updated with industry trends and provide feedback to refine estimating processes.Liaise with project managers and site foremen for purchasing of materials for projects.Raise and manage purchase orders.Source materials and equipment, obtain technical data sheets and shop drawings, submit to client for review.Follow up on credits.Coordinate freight of supplies to site.Prepare and submit client progress claims and invoices.Assist in the development of project documentation, including creating project folders and printing drawings for site team.Attend project meetings (both design and construction) with the Project Management team and the client, preparing agendas and writing minutes.General administration.The successful applicant will ideally have: Trade qualified or experience in the electrical and communications industry.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.Proficiency in using estimating software, Simpro, ground plan, and Microsoft Office applications (preferred).Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.Full time role (Monday to Friday).Free onsite parking in Fyshwick.Remuneration will be based on experience.This is a Canberra-based role.
