Company Description:Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in the electrical industry looking for the next step in your career? Our client is an Electrical contractor operating in the NSW region of Australia, specialising in all aspects of the electrical industry. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team located in North Strathfield.
Role Description:This position is integral to taking the business to the next level. It is a permanent role that allows for a long-term career in a growing company. The ideal candidate will have estimating experience in the construction industry and a background in the electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities:Implement tendering procedures in conjunction with senior management.Review and analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.Maintain accurate records and provide reports of project estimates and budgets.Meet client deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Liaise with clients and internal project teams.Leverage existing contacts and build new relationships.Skills & Experience:A minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.Must have an electrical background.First principle estimating experience.Experience estimating projects up to and more than $5M.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Excellent time management skills, working efficiently and independently, and remaining calm under pressure.Be able to consult with clients regarding tenders.Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.Excellent problem-solving skills.Demonstrated working knowledge of Electrical Australian Standards and Building Codes.Company Culture:The company prioritises its employees in every business decision and strongly values the impact of collaboration and teamwork.
