PHE Mining is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. We encourage candidates from across Orange, Bathurst, and surrounding areas, as well as those willing to relocate, to apply.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the tendering of medium to large-scale projects ranging from $20K - $250M+. The business has a very supportive management structure and team-based culture, so to make this role a success:
What you'll need to succeed: Electrical Licence or Engineering degree.3 or more years in electrical industrial estimating.Estimating experience or a strong interest in the industrial sector - Power Generation, Mining, Oil and Gas, Hazardous Areas, Solar, Water, and Food/Beverage Processing.Solid understanding of the electrical contracting industry.High level of commercial awareness and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical capabilities and advanced organisational skills with high attention to detail.Advanced computer Excel skills in the development and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Projects, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.About the Role: Developing a track record of success in winning tenders.Significant involvement and ownership in preparing tender documentation and presentation to our clients in line with PHE Policy and Procedures.Evaluating bid specifications, reviewing plans, drawings, and formulating an overall pricing/scheduling strategy.Compiling quotes and subcontractor pricing.Following through on all tender feedback and constructing new tenders.Working with the Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and specifications.Building and fostering relationships with new and existing clients.About Us: PHE has a 50-year history providing safe, rewarding, long-term employment in regional areas.
