Electrical Estimator - Construction

Job Title: Electrical Estimator.Location: Knowsley.Salary: Up to £50K depending on experience.This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.Key Responsibilities:* Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission* Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.* Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients* Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.* Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.* Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.* Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.* Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS's and Design/Engineering department.Essential Criteria:* Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.* Strong communication and organisational skills* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.* High attention to detail* Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel* Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.* Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5+ GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.* Experience as an estimator or an electrical background would be advantageous#J-18808-Ljbffr
