This role will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling the SD70 Ace locomotives.Responsibilities include:Ensuring behaviour aligns with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligationsAn overriding commitment to health, safety and environment within RailContributing to an inclusive and diverse cultureAdherence to Work Management principles and disciplineContributing to Continuous Improvement in Rail MaintenanceContribute to high fleet availability through routine maintenance, focused on quality work and a defect elimination mindsetStrong commitment to the Field LeadershipLocation / RosterIn this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 8 days off roster.
Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is a large regional centre in North West Australia.
The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include an aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park.
Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.
Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park.
