Electrical Engineering Technician Hahn Electrical Contracting is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our engineering team in our Kalgoorlie office.
This position would suit an experienced Technician seeking to advance their career within the mining industry.
This is a residential role NOT FIFO.
Only candidates living in the Kalgoorlie region or prepared to relocate will be considered.

The Position In the position of Electrical Engineering Technician, you will contribute to a dynamic team, working on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects associated with surface and underground mining electrical and controls systems including HV & LV reticulation, ventilation, instrumentation, and PLC control systems.
Duties will include, but not be limited to: Assemble, install, and test electrical equipmentAssist Electrical Engineers with design and layout of electrical installations on substations, switchgear, and cabling systemsModify and repair electrical equipmentAssist with estimating material costs and quantitiesAssist with drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical equipmentInspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations.To be suitable for this position, you require the following: Recognised work history in a comparable role of a minimum of 5 years (desirable)Knowledge of Australian Drafting and Design Standards and codes of practices relevant to both industrial, underground mining, and engineering standards.Familiarity with the Underground mining environment and associated electrical and controls distribution systems would be a distinct advantage for design & drafting on both green and grown field sitesAn understanding of and ability to design, program, and fault find on PLC/DCS system control circuitsExcellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, technical staff, and lead engineersCurrent WA Drivers Licence (essential)Current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain oneIn return you will be rewarded with: Supportive and proactive managementOn-the-job training and growth within the mining industryIncome protection insurance (conditions apply)Employee Assistance ProgramNovated Leasing Options (conditions apply)To apply for this position, click the 'Apply now' button.
