Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team.
This role requires a hands-on approach to assembling, installing, and maintaining our solar and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities: Undertake electrical workshop functions, including installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices.
Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations to comply with regulations and safety standards.
Prepare drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical installations and circuitry.
Assist in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry, particularly for substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
Conduct data collection, perform tests, and execute complex calculations; graph results and prepare charts and tabulations.
Estimate materials required for projects and ensure compliance with specifications.
Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations.
Assist with research and experimental programs.
Skills and Qualifications: Formal electrical qualifications are required, although relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
Proven experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in preparing detailed documentation and compliance with safety procedures.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Work Location: This position is based in Canberra, ACT, and requires in-person attendance.
Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Preferred Credentials: Work authorization in Australia.
