This internship opportunity will suit an electrical engineering student or recent graduate who is seeking 12 weeks of experience in electrical engineering.
Selected interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Electrical Engineers on a range of exciting projects in power systems, building services (electrical systems), design, testing, and project delivery.
As the Electrical Engineering Intern, you will apply your theoretical knowledge in electrical systems design to real-world projects in the construction industry.
Not only will you be involved in electrical design, but you will also work with the project delivery team in scheduling, subcontractor management, and estimation of complex large-scale electrical systems.

Electrical Engineering Internship Roles and Responsibilities:

Carrying out electrical engineering analysis and upholding compliance with Australian Standards and relevant regulatory acts of legislation.
Preparing specifications, drawings, reports, and other deliverables as required by each individual project.
Carrying out power system analysis using software such as SKM PTW, PSCAD, PSS / E, and others.
Supporting senior site engineers and the design team in carrying out their tasks, particularly for power systems engineering projects.
What You Will Gain in the Electrical Engineering Internship:

Proficiency in electrical system design using software such as PSS / E, PSCAD, and PSS SINCAL.
Experience in modelling, creating simulations, and testing electrical systems.
Designing power systems, including primary plant, secondary systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
Electrical system monitoring and assessment experience.
Estimating experience and project management of electrical engineering projects.
