This internship opportunity will suit an electrical engineering student or recent graduate who is seeking 12-weeks of experience in electrical engineering. Selected interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Electrical Engineers on a range of exciting projects in power systems, building services (electrical systems), design, testing, and project delivery.
As the Electrical Engineering Intern, you will apply your theoretical knowledge in electrical systems design to real-world projects in the construction industry. Not only will you be involved in electrical design, but you will also work with the project delivery team in scheduling, subcontractor management, and estimation of complex large-scale electrical systems. This is the perfect opportunity to start your career in the electrical engineering industry in Australia.
Electrical Engineering Internship roles and responsibilities:Carrying out electrical engineering analysis and upholding compliance with Australian Standards and relevant regulatory acts of legislationPrepare specifications, drawings, reports, and other deliverables as required by each individual projectCarry out power system analysis using software such SKM PTW, PSCAD, PSS/E, and othersSupport senior site engineers and the design team in carrying out their tasks, particularly for power systems engineering projectsWhat you will gain in the Electrical Engineering Internship?Proficiency in electrical system design using software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, and PSS SINCALExperience in modelling, creating simulations, and testing electrical systemsDesigning power systems, including primary plant, secondary systems, earthing and lightning protectionElectrical system monitoring and assessment experienceEstimating experience and project management of electrical engineering projectsElectrical Engineering Internship – how to apply?To be considered for the electrical engineering internship program, you need to be a member of the CSA Internship Academy.
