UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Renewables team.
Your main responsibilities will include: Conduct research into new technologies, design new solutions, and find ways to improve existing solutions in Renewable Energy Systems.
Oversee Electrical works as required, or when requested by UON (in support of other departments).
Technically oversee product development from an Electrical perspective over the full lifecycle (design, assembly, inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning).
Participate in testing and commissioning of renewable projects and assist broader business when requested.
Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems that satisfy all stakeholders.
Review, understand, and enforce client specifications, Australian standards, and local regulations or guidelines.
Assist with quality inspections on product or system workmanship, design, installation, and integrity.
Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience working in a similar role in the Electrical industry.
Understanding of applicable Renewable Engineering theory and processes.
Experience with PLC based control systems.
Experience with on-grid and off-grid (microgrid) hybrid systems.
Experience in control system design.
A-grade Electrical or restricted license highly regarded.
