The CLCM team looks after a range of Minor Vessels spread across WA and QLD. Playing a key role in key projects is just one of the many reasons why it's great to work here.The RoleAs an Electrical Engineer within the Minor Vessel (MV) EC Team, you will work alongside the other Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to liaise with our stakeholders, to Survey and Quote Engineering Changes and develop, review and support the approval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Demonstrating advanced technical theories, methodologies, principles and expertise to provide innovative solutions to the platform, you will be alert to cost and schedule constraints.Your new role will provide you with the opportunity to learn, share your knowledge and be mentored on System Engineering methodology and processes. Enabled by the support of the Engineering Manager, you will also be enrolled in our national Engineering network. Working in a friendly team to meet the needs of our customer - the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), your role involves direct engagement with peers, Australian Defence Force personnel, capability partners, sub-contractors and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the technical interface between stakeholders, conducting Engineering Changes to derive functional, performance and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters.Plan assigned engineering projects from concept through to Engineering Change, including the development of SOWs, RFQs, BOEs, schedules, and engagement with stakeholders.Engage in System Design activities to ensure that the electrical design artefacts within the detailed design are compatible with the baselined product; consistent across all subsystems, delivering system design to meet performance requirements.Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the electrical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions in accordance with the Defence Seaworthiness Management System and the Navy Safety Management System.Ensure assigned electrical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to the appropriate standards and procedures.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; securing Raytheon Australia's reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions to our customers.Skills, Experience And QualificationsTertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering discipline; holding as a minimum tertiary qualifications and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia in a relevant engineering stream, including ability to attain RPEQ recognition.Experience in the Electrical Engineering discipline including involvement in one or more of the following System Engineering practices - Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, Integration, Verification and Validation.Experience in effectively representing Engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).Experience in Electrical design and Engineering design changes.Experience in conducting technical design reviews and presenting at design review meetings with the client.Experience in Maritime Design and Sustainment activities.Experience in Platform Configuration control.Experience in complying to Classification Society, DEF(AUST), Australian Navy Publications (ANPs), Australian Electrical Design and Safety Standards, and other relevant approval bodies.Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.Experience providing Engineering services in NSSG environment.This position may require availability to travel when required.Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
